However, its creators quickly realized the horrifying potential of the Relic: it could also direct that energy back onto its source, initiating an infinite gravity feedback loop that would inevitably collapse a star into a black hole. Deemed far too dangerous for any use, the artifact was slated for permanent concealment, its very existence meant to be kept a profound secret. Ironically, the Sundering, a cataclysm whose details are now lost to history, achieved both of these goals, shrouding the Relic in obscurity for millennia.

Only recently have whispers surfaced, and the Starkiller Relic been rediscovered. These recent discoveries confirmed long-held rumors of its ancient, devastating capabilities, drawing the attention of powerful factions. Its rediscovery eventually led to its acquisition by the militant Red Sun Dominion, who sought to harness its terrifying power for their own ends.

On 26 November 4159, after securing the final rumored piece of the Starkiller Relic, the Red Sun Dominion successfully assembled the device into a weapon of unparalleled destructive force. This terrifying weapon, capable of initiating a chain reaction to collapse an entire star into a newly formed black hole, could obliterate star systems in an instant.

To test this devastating capability, the Red Sun Dominion targeted the Fat system, a colony inhabited by clones and operated by the Mortal Veil. Their doctrine designated all cloning technology and clones themselves as Maltech, demanding their immediate and complete eradication. With a horrifying display of power, the Starkiller Relic weapon caused the entire Fat system to implode, erasing the last known clone colony from existence and wiping the system from the galactic map.

Today, the Starkiller Relic remains a tool of immense destruction, currently installed on The Celestial Leviathan, one of the Red Sun Dominion's formidable flagship vessels. Though it has been used to annihilate an entire star system, the Relic itself has not yet been destroyed.
