Xeni was once a promising, if overlooked, Level-4 Data Clerk within the Red Sun Dominion's logistical branch stationed on Palloma within the Felo system. Her life was defined by the tedious cataloging of mineral yields and water rations. However, her existence fractured three years ago during an unauthorized survey expedition to the surface of Luar , the system's desolate, metal-sand planet. Separation from her unit during a dust storm led her into a buried, pre-Sundering server cathedral exposed by a recent meteor impact.
Upon entering, Xeni contracted what Dominion medics later misdiagnosed as 'heavy metal poisoning.' In reality, she was infected by a dormant, atmospheric nanite swarm designed to maintain the ancient machinery. Within days, the 'illness' consumed her; her biological tissue was aggressively rewritten, replaced by porcelain-white synthetic plating and fiber-optic cabling. She fled the infirmary before she could be 'recycled' by the Dominion, drawn by a psychic frequency broadcasting from the tunnels of Luar .
She has spent the last years hiding in the deep tunnels, transforming into a living conduit between the dead technology of Luar and the living world. She is no longer fully human, having become a biological keyframe. She hears the 'song' of the Sleeper Artifact buried within Palloma and knows that she alone possesses the algorithmic syntax required to wake it—or silence it forever. She acts as a ghost on Luar, stealing supplies and avoiding the occasional Red Sun parties that view her as a malfunction to be corrected.
