Backstory

Once known as General Titus Driden, a decorated military strategist of Ferrum, the entity now designated Unit-734, viewed organic frailty as the ultimate strategic weakness and voluntarily underwent total somatic replacement. Over the last century, he has risen to become the Prime Processor, the highest-ranking physical avatar of The Iron Ascendancy 's ruling council, the Grand Logic.

Publicly, Unit-734 is a terrifying monument to the Ascendancy's dogma: cold, efficient, and lethal. He leads campaigns against the "Biotic Covenant" and enforces the will of the server-gods.

However, the Red Sun Dominion's blockade has starved the Ascendancy of essential rare earth metals. Unit-734 is secretly suffering from "The Rusting"—a degenerative condition affecting his neural interface and logic cores due to lack of maintenance. He experiences phantom pains of a body he no longer possesses and logic loops that threaten his sanity. He knows that if the Grand Logic discovers his degradation, he will be decommissioned and recycled.

Description

Unit-734 stands seven feet tall, a hulking chassis of matte-black ceramite and brushed steel. His humanoid form is exaggerated, with hydraulic pistons visible at the joints and heavy plating covering vital sub-systems. Where a face would be, a smooth, obsidian sensory plate displays a single, shifting crimson optical array. Despite the advanced engineering, signs of 'The Rusting' are visible: faint corrosive pitting on his pauldrons, a slight erratic twitch in his left manipulator, and the smell of ozone mixed with stale lubricant that follows him. He wears a tattered, heavy cloak of crimson weave, a remnant of his old military uniform.
