Backstory
Master Alerius was once a young prodigy at the Arcanum Sanctorum, showing great promise in unraveling Coia's oldest mysteries. However, as he delved deeper into the forbidden knowledge stored within its ancient tomes, he began to see things differently. His pursuit of power took him down paths meant only for the boldest and most daring scholars, leading him to experiment with magics that should never be tampered with by mortal hands. Despite his success, Alerius became feared as much as respected, known to perform unspeakable acts in the name of knowledge. Driven from the Arcanum Sanctorum due to his controversial practices, he now resides in exile, continuing his research and studies in secret while maintaining a facade of piety and humility. Yet, all know that beneath this guise lies an ambitious mind thirsting for power.
Description
Master Alerius stands at a modest height for a Simic Hybrid, his green skin mottled with patches of gray as he ages. His face is dominated by piercing yellow eyes that seem to hold a glint of malice even when he's merely observing. He keeps his shoulder-length hair tied back in a ponytail, opting not to reveal the tentacle-like appendages that would mark him as Simic Hybrid more prominently. His robes, though plain and earthy in color, are crafted from the finest materials known to the Arcanum Sanctorum, with intricate magical symbols woven into their fabric.
